Signing statements seemed like they weren’t supposed to be a big deal- but very quickly grew out of hand. They made the president even more powerful than they already are and thinned the line of the shared leadership the government has when choosing how to rule this country. This has changed laws in example, President Bush, Who said he wasn’t going to follow some of the laws applied. This meant it’s changed laws so it doesn’t apply to everyone. Suddenly someone has more power for no reason than others. This also hurts the government and how it's supposed to operate under shared leadership. This gives a person more control over things than another in the government
